IMPORTANT DATES

Abstract Submission Deadline : 1 September 2019
Acceptance notification : 6 September 2019

The general research aim of the Session is presentation of research progress on reverse-engineer information dynamics in social networks, such as spreading of innovations and rumors among people, viral spreading of information in social media such as Twitter or Facebook and dynamics of news and their topics across time.

The session will include invited and contributed talks on topics related to information spreading in social networks, in particular:
  • datasets and preprocessing
  • machine learning methods
  • natural language processing
  • models of information spreading
  • statistical inference methods, compressed sensing for dynamics in complex networks
  • spreading of news
  • agent based modeling
  • complex networks

The session will be the Final Conference of the H2020 MSCA RISE Project Reverse EngiNeering of sOcial Information pRocessing (RENOIR) that is funded from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 691152.

The RENOIR project (2015-2019) is based on three pillars: data acquisition, data mining/machine learning and complex systems modeling. The specific problems addressed include understanding rules of and predicting information spreading in different media and about different topics, finding information sources and uncovering hidden information channels.

RENOIR Partners include research groups from Europe, Asia, Australia and USA.
